Your child is required to remain home.

- Virus
- Sudden onset of fever lasting 3-5 days, followed by fine, pink rash on trunk and body
Transmission:
- Person to person by direct contact with respiratory secretions
Incubation:
- 9 to 10 days
Period of Communicability:
- contagious until one or two days after the fever subsides
Your child can return to daycare once all the following criteria has been met:
- Your child is eating and drinking normally
- Your child can participate in all daycare activities
- Rash is gone
- The daycare fever policy has been followed
- At least 4 days have passed since the onset of symptoms/diagnosis
Your child is required to remain home for at least four (4) days, if not longer.
