The day of and the day after receiving the vaccine:
All children are required to have their immunizations up to date.
The daycare requires a copy of your child's immunization records/proof of covid-19 vaccines before your child can start care, and every-time they get a new vaccine.
- Child is required to remain at home after getting the vaccine
- The child is also to remain home the day after receiving the vaccine
- This is so a parent can keep an eye out for side effects

Valerie’s Playhouse is a vaccinated daycare. All daycare children must get vaccinated with all available vaccines once they are eligible to receive them. This includes yearly vaccines like, but not limited too, the flu shot.
You are Required too:
- Provide a copy of your child’s immunization record/proof of covid-19 vaccines at the time of the contract signing and after each vaccine while your child is in care.
- Inform your provider after your child has received each yearly vaccine.
- Inform your provider of any delays in getting your child vaccinated.
Failure to get your child vaccinated
- If you choose not to get your child vaccinated after your child has started care, hand in your termination notice as per the daycare's termination policy. The provider will honour your termination notice if no other policies are breached before or during the notice period.
- Failure to hand in your termination notice if you choose not to get your child vaccinated will result in termination of your childcare contracts. You will be in breach of contract and no fees will be no reimbursement of any fees already paid. Termination can be done immediately or with a notice period depending on the circumstances.
Vaccines your child is required to get once eligible are:
- Diphtheria, Tetanus, pertussis, polio, haemophilus influenzae type b (DTaP-IPV-Hib)
- Pneumococcal (Pneu-C-13)
- Rotavirus (Rot-1)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
- Meningococcal (Men-C-C)
- Varicella (Var)
- Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Polio (Tdap-IPV)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (MMRV)
- Covid-19 vaccine
- Influenza (Inf) aka Yearly Flu shot
- Any other vaccine that gets developed for children between the ages of new born and 4 years old.
Covid-19 Vaccine
- All children at the Playhouse are required to be fully vaccinated, once eligible
- Proof of vaccination is required for all daycare children
- Once eligible, all children at the Playhouse will be granted approximately four months to become fully vaccinated
Since a home daycare is located within a private home it is 100% legal within Canada
