Temporary care termination policy
Termination by the client
– If termination is done before the contracted end date
– If termination is done before the contracted end date
- If the termination notice is given on a pay week – a seven (7) week written notice is required.
- If the termination notice is given on a non-pay week – a six (6) week written notice is required. A longer notice can also be provided and is always appreciated.
- If termination is done immediately (with or without notice), or with less than six (6) weeks if termination is done on a non-pay week or seven (7) weeks if termination is done on a pay week. * If the termination notice is given on a non-pay week – Pay-out equalling six (6) weeks of your weekly tuition payments is due. The payments can be made in three (3) instalments, on the scheduled paydays or in one (1) lump sum to be paid within 48 hours of terminating the contract. * If the termination notice is given on a pay week – Pay-out equalling seven (7) weeks of your weekly tuition payments is due. The first instalment of one (1) week was already paid as the pay week was covered in your last tuition payment. The remainder of the pay-out can be made in three (3) instalments, on the scheduled paydays or in one (1) lump sum to be paid within 48 hours of terminating the contract * If your contract is less than 7 weeks – payments are still due until your contracted last day of care
- If you or the provider terminates with notice and you decide to leave before the end of the notice period you forfeit all fees paid (enrolment fees, tuition fee, etc.) and the remained of the notice period of care. Payment is still due for the duration of the notice period.
- If you terminate care (for any reason) before your contracted starting date you forfeit all fees paid. Such as, but not limited to: holding fees, enrolment fee, tuition payments already paid etc.
- If you terminate care, but wish to return at a later date you will need to sign a new contract, pay new increase fees, and pay another enrolment fee. You are not guaranteed a spot unless a non-refundable enrolment fee is paid
- Tuition Fees are a weekly fee not a daily fee. If you leave part way through the week, you still owe for the full tuition fee.
- If you terminate at any time your forfeit your “summer holding fee”, if one is paid as part of your tuition fee.
Termination by the provider
The provider can give a two week written notice at any time, for any reason (exception listed below).
The provider can NOT terminate the contract in order to replace you with a long term family.
The provider holds the right to terminate immediately for, but not limited too, the following reasons:
If the provider needs to terminate care immediately you forfeit your enrolment fee.
If the provider terminates the contract before the contract start date, your enrolment fee WILL be refunded.

The provider holds the right to terminate immediately for, but not limited too, the following reasons:
- If there is use of inappropriate words (name-calling, foul language) shaming, humiliating, threatening or frightening a child, another parent, provides family or the provider herself.
- If there is any violent behaviour from the parents or child.
- If you are caught medicating your child to mask an illness or fever.
- If you or your child breaches one or more of the daycare Policies.
- For any reason the provider deems it to be in the best interest and safety of others or your child.
If the provider needs to terminate care immediately you forfeit your enrolment fee.
If the provider terminates the contract before the contract start date, your enrolment fee WILL be refunded.
