Termination Policy
Termination by clients
Valerie's Playhouse considers regular full-time care as long term care. This means your child is expected to be in care for at least two (2) years. If you withdraw earlier then two (2) years you forfeit your enrolment fee. If you are looking for care for less then two (2) years see the provider about TEMPORARY care.
For more information on terminating your contract(s), see details below:
1. A six (6) week (30 business days) written notice is required and MUST be given on a non-pay week. A longer notice can also be provided and is always appreciated. However only the last six (6) weeks (30 business days) of the notice will be considered the official notice.
2. If termination notice is given within 23 months from the original contracted start date, you forfeit your enrolment fee. You will still need to pay the tuition fee for your child’s last two weeks of care. The tuition fee must be paid in full by 8:00 am on the Thursday before your childs last two weeks of care. You forfeit your enrolment fee if you hand in your termination notice on or before ____________.
3. If termination notice is given on or after 24 months (2 years) from the original contracted start date, your enrolment fee can go towards your child's last two weeks of care if all the termination policy is followed. You can use your enrolment fee, towards your last two weeks, if you hand in your termination notice on or after ____________.
4. If the enrolment fee is greater than the amount owed for the two weeks of care the remainder of the money is forfeited.
5. If termination is done immediately (with or without notice), or with less than six (6) weeks (30 business days):
6. If you or the provider terminates with notice and you decide to leave before the end of the notice period you forfeit all fees paid (enrolment fees, tuition fee, etc.) and the remained of the notice period of care. Payment is still due for the duration of the notice period.
7. If you terminate care (for any reason) before your contracted starting date you forfeit all fees paid. Such as, but not limited to; holding fees, enrolment fee etc.
