Diarrhea/Constipation Policy
Your child is required to remain home.
Diarrhea due to illness is highly contagious.
We can discuss your child's return to daycare once all the following criteria has been met:
Diarrhea
If I find out that you have given your child medication to cover up diarrhea before sending your child to daycare, I hold the right to terminate care immediately.
A 48 hour period is between 12:00 am and 11:59 pm
Example: if diarrhea starts Monday morning and stops Monday night (back to normal BM’s), the 48 hour period starts as of 12:00 am Tuesday morning. If your child isn’t given any medication and the diarrhea doesn’t return between 12:00 am Tuesday to 12:00 am Thursday, your child can return to daycare Thursday.
Diarrhea
- 48 hours diarrhea free
- 48 hours free of any diarrhea reducing/masking medication.
- There has been no known exposure to Covid-19 or other illness

Constipation
If your child is in pain or simply can not participate in the daily activates due to constipation. Your child will need to remain home.

I will not give your child a laxative, prunes or prune juice here at daycare.
If your child is in pain or simply can not participate in the daily activates once at daycare, I will send your child home.
If your child is in pain or simply can not participate in the daily activates due to constipation. Your child will need to remain home.

- Provider will access on a case-by-case bases
